Web Page! Come on in!My webpage is devoted to myself and no one / nothing more (I am so selfish). Here you can find who I was, am, and will be (maybe...); my small photo album, and some of my academic projects.
I am 21 years old (this number is subject to change without notice ;-).) I was born on May 16, 1978 in Vladivostok, Russia, where have been living up to now.
Currently I am a 5th year student at Far Eastern State University, Vladivostok at Russian-American Department of International Economic Relations and Management. My major is international economics and management. More detailed information about my academic records and job experience can be found in
MY RESUME. in English and in Russian, as well as
LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION from my instructors: Gary Roseman and Guy Moyer.
I live with my parents and my younger sister. You might want to see
During last two years of the program I have accomplished a number of researches that I would like to share with everyone. I trust someone might find them worth reading. Feel free to use them for your academic purposes. Yet do not plagiarize. By the way, if anyone feels like contacting me, my addresses are below. So, ...
Losses
of Russian Banks due to August Financial Crisis (Apr 1999) - I am fond
of money and banks ("because that's where the money is"). So, the August Financial
Crisis in Russia caught my interest right away and already August 18th, 1998
I decided on the topic of my thesis. This research is the first step toward
it. The major source of information, especially numbers, is the Central Bank
of Russia's Internet site (www.cbr.ru), some statistics were taken from the
web site of GosComStat - Federal Statistic Agency. The rest were analytical
articles, again from the Internet (RosBusinessConsulting), newspapers (The Moscow
Times and Golden Horn). I also used "equity research" of Tiger Securities (1997)
- the investment company I had internship with. One of the major interests to
me was to check the trends identified in the articles based on the actual numbers
from the Central Bank.
Losses
of Russian Banks due to August Financial Crisis (in Russian) - This
is a resume of the above project in Russian. I had a presentation on the FESU
Student Conference '99. My report had the lead and was nominated for publishing
at FESU Press.
DalRybBank: Analysis of Internal
Environment (May 1999)
DalRybBank: Analysis of
External Environment (May 1999)
CYBERCAFE
Business Plan (Dec 1999) - this is my first business plan. This piece
really help me to perceive what it is about.
Team
Design Consulting Project (Dec 1999) - less
challenging, but nonetheless, not least important part of my academic life.
It is Human Resource Management assignment with a final product of a webpage.
It was my first try in webpage building.
Banking
Panics during the Great Depression (Dec 1999) - research paper for US
Economic History course. Since I am very interested in finance, that was a real
challenge for me.
Federal
Deposit Insurance Corporation (Dec 1999) - another history research
project, this time, a group paper. It was completed by me and three my classmates
- Sergey Vedernikov, Lenar Suleymanov, and Tuan Do.
My hobby is reading. I love historical novels and science-fiction. I like reading in English. My favorite American authors are Arthur Heily ("Airport" and "Moneychangers" are great) and Ray Bradbury.
I have my old friend - my computer ('old' means it desperately needs upgrade). It has a habit to break down from time to time so it takes me great effort and emotions make him work. Yet I enjoy reanimating it : it is so challenging!!
Movies. Of course, I like comedies, especially, French and Russian. (My favorite actor is Pier Richard). I do not like American cinematography. Persistent happy end makes me crazy: That's maybe why I think "Titanic" is an exception.
